I felt that was necessary to articulate this dreary/rainy/snowy Wednesday. So much of who we are is easily influenced by the variables in this life. So, if you are reading this, thinking I'm going to tell you LipSense color will brighten up your day and you should try it out...you are mistaken, although that is true. Today is a day for reflection; a day to acknowledge; a day to be mindful of not only where we are, but where others are.
Today I woke up with anxiety about how the roads would be on my way into work, my mind was scattered to say the least...it was a day where every fiber of my being was telling me, start a fire, curl up on the sofa and watch netflix all day, but the better part of me responded appropriately. I wonder how often we go against what we want to do, because it is the right thing to do.
That last statement really got me thinking and asking more questions, so I thought I would share them, so that you too, if desired, can dig a little deeper!
1. How often am I talking about me?
2. How often do I find myself worrying about things which impact my life?
3. How often do I talk to others?
4. How often do I personally spend time connecting and getting to know others?
5. How often do others spend time connecting an getting to know me?
Five very interesting questions, with hundreds upon thousands of answers based on how we each react. I'll be honest, my answers kicked me in the tush (if you know what I mean). You know what I found? I was encouraged...to spend as much time as I can getting to know each of you personally. I want to know what is happening in your life, what I can pray for you for, where I can help out (whether cooking a meal or watching your kids). I want to be there for each and every one of you.
So today, by the grace of God, I was able to look past the depressing weather, look past self-centered nature and look past the areas I've been slacking in too long and come to you all with a grateful heart. Thank you all who are a part of this group, those who see the posts and videos and like them, who encourage me daily, who share pieces of your life...you are the reason my heart will always be so grateful <3
